Network Coordinator Job Description

The network coordinator supports network customers and ensures the security and reliability of the network and its infrastructure, as well as the management of network traffic. They may upgrade server-based applications and systems, including associated equipment, and support clients in installing and maintaining new and updated network equipment such as routers and switches.    

Network coordinator jobs require supporting systems and servers and understanding their relationships with other systems. The network coordinator identifies and resolves network equipment issues including problems with network traffic, network infrastructure, and network management systems. They also provide operational support, troubleshoot network and infrastructure management issues, and conduct network maintenance. The network team operates a wide range of network operations and maintenance projects across the enterprise, including network upgrades, network maintenance, and network infrastructure upgrades. Other job responsibilities can include the installation of new equipment, networks, infrastructure changes, etc.    

The network coordinator collaborates with the systems and application analyst in the training department to support training and server usage. Network coordinator jobs have a dual role, interacting directly with customers seeking services and with partners to provide resources and support to the community.  

Network coordinators’ skills should include project management, budgeting, and financial reporting, as this job may require them to manage project budgets and prepare financial reports.
